Aquila supports Colorado's Renewable Energy Standard by obtaining electricity from renewable energy sources.
We also maintain an established net metering system for
homeowners and ranchers with small photovoltaic (PV) systems to connect to
the power grid; in keeping with the Standard, a percentage of our
renewable energy comes from solar resources.
Aquila sees these guidelines as another way to strengthen and expand our
energy portfolio, which already includes energy from a number of renewable
sources, including wind energy. We look forward to working with companies
and individuals in Colorado to meet or exceed expectations in the management
and delivery of safe, reliable energy.
